BUY PIXELS - TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. This site is to honour every great woman on this planet!
   What a great gift for any romantic occasion!! FOR 25 EURO ONLY.
2. This site is open for everyone in the world. Companies, individuals, family, friends, fan clubs, managers, endorsers, colleagues... Anyone who wants to honour a great woman is welcome on this site.
3. Your contribution must be positive, with love and respect for a great woman or a group of great women. This is a serious site. I will not accept jokes, no insults, no negativism, and no promotion for subjects that have nothing to do with great women.
4. 'Commercial pixels' are only allowed if they clearly relate to the 'great woman concept'. For example: I will allow well-known perfume and cosmetic companies, designer's clothing companies, luxury goods, etc. But only as long as they obviously are focussed on 'great women'. I will not allow adult / sex related products or services, and I don't want any other products or services that have nothing to do with my concept. So no casino's, no internet providers, no travel agencies, no cigarettes, no ringtones, no dating services, no diet products, etc. Even if you are willing to pay for big banners on my site, sorry, you will have to look for other websites. The decision whether you can be accepted, is - only - up to me. No discussions! I absolutely want to keep this an trustworthy site. If you are admitted, your pixels will have to follow my design rules (esp. my colours, see below). Please contact me if you have any questions about this.
5. The minimum purchase is one block of 10x10 pixels (25 euro), and the maximum purchase is whatever is left. I focus on normal people honouring their personal great woman, but I can't sell smaller than one block of 10x10 pixels. Sorry, my bookkeeper and me would get crazy if I would sell in smaller amounts. And for practical reasons I only sell 10x10 pixel blocks. It is just too much adminstrative and practical fuzz for me to do it otherwise. It would almost be impossible to spot individual pixels anyway. You are free to choose connected blocks of 10x10 pixels, or to spread blocks around the page, each with a different weblink. Just let me know what you want.
6. Every pixel block on the homepage gets a free link to a website of your choice (which must be related to your great woman).
7. If you don't have a website to link to, you can write a personal message to your great woman in the 'Love Text' area below! You may write up to 50 words per 100 pixels that you buy, with a maximum of 200 words. It's up to you: a web link or a text on this page? New messages will be added at the bottom, so if you want to be high in this list, be quick!
8. The homepage offers 1 million pixels for sale. To be precise, for the mathematicians among you: there are 880 x 1140 = 1,003,200 pixels. For design purposes, I did not want to make it into an exact square. 3200 pixels are reserved for my private use, which leaves exactly 1 million pixels for sale.
9. I am Dutch, and the Dutch always ask for 'korting' (reduction) when they buy more than one item. Often they even do so when they buy only one item. Forgive us, it is our nature, it is what made us important world traders. Even New York used to be Dutch and was called New Amsterdam, did you know that? But sorry 'landgenoten', I will give no reduction whatsoever. The fixed price is 0,25 euro per pixel, that's it, no 'korting'. Every customer has to be certain that he/she paid the same as anyone else. However, it is wise to be quick, because the pixel price might get higher when the site becomes very popular.
10. So I won't give any reduction, even if you buy a big block. However, of course I want to do something extra for the 'romantic spenders'. There will be a bonus for anyone who buys at least 2500 pixels (5x5 blocks). You will get a special place in the top of the Participants page. On that page you will receive a longer text of appr. 200 characters, plus a free photo of 80x80 = 6400 pixels!! Check the examples. You can get more than the double value!
11. When you 'buy' my pixels, you will not 'own' any part of the homepage or this site, but rather you are granted the right to submit an image, some text and a link, which will then be published on the homepage in the respective space you have paid for.
12. You are not permitted to re-sell or auction off your pixels. I will not change any existing images or links. If you want to be on this site, do it to honour a great woman, not for investment purposes! And if you want a space on this site, just make sure to be in time. Full is full, no changes will be made once it is full.
13. You cannot change the image, text or link once you have submitted them, so you must be sure of the image & link you want on the homepage, which will be there for at least 5 years. So no changes! The only exception is, if you have a strong reason why you need a change to your image/link, for example a major structural change to your site or a lawsuit. However, don't misabuse this for reselling reasons. And for every change you will be charged 25 euro, unless your site really stopped (we will then remove the link).
14. If your image and link are accepted and published on the homepage and you have paid, you can not get a refund.
15. The site will be online for at least 5 years (starting from the day it launched), so at least until the end of 2010, but probably much longer or forever (that is, as long as I live to pay my provider). My aim is to write some positive internet history, in honour of all the great women on the planet.
16. No obscene/offensive/adult images/links will be accepted! I decide what is appropriate for my site. This site is dedicated to great women allover the world, and they should at any time feel proud to be on this site. So I definitely will NOT allow any offensive or sex related pictures and links!
17. You will have to submit your image and link before you pay, because I will have to approve them first. I have to be 100% sure that you follow my site's guidelines. If you are rejected, you will have the opportunity to provide an alternative image and link. But please do NOT pay until I approved your participation! I will not give any refunds! If you do pay before my approval, you will be held fully responsible to supply me an image and link that will get my approval.
18. If your link is accepted and you later change the content of the linked site to show offensive/obscene/adult material, then your link will be removed forever. I will not accept 'tricks' that can harm the reputation of this site. If you do this, I will take it very serious and personal, and you will get no second chance. And you will not get a refund of any kind. Just respect the other participants and me, then I will respect you, it is as simple as that!
19. Of course I will try to keep my site up and running as long as possible, hopefully forever. However, if for any technical reason my site will be down temporarily, there will be no refunds. I will do my best to keep this site online as much as possible. There might be occasional downtime for site maintenance, but I'll try and keep these to an absolute minimum. Remember: 'up-time' is also in my own interest...
20. If for whatever reason in the future you want your image and link removed from the homepage, you can do that, but you will not get a refund and the space will become publically available again.
21. All the pixels on our site will have to follow our very specific look-and-feel. This site is in specific shades of pink, purple, black, grey and white. That's it. No other colours will be allowed!! We will adjust your image into the colours of our website (unless you do it correct yourself). Again: we do NOT allow images in different colours than the current site.
22. Please send me images that have the right quality. At least the size you have paid for (eg. 100 pixels = 10x10 pixels). If necessary, I can even design an image for you, for example a text image. Look at the examples on the site.
23. I can design a (text) images for you, in one of the specific colour combinations (e.g. purple on grey, pink on black, white on purple plain black and white, etc.). Let me know what you want, as long as it fits in our style.
24. No animated GIF or Flash. The homepage has to remain elegant and quiet.
25. Links must be to web pages only. Links will always be opened in a new window.
26. You must have the authority to provide the image and link for the website you submit.
27. Funds must be fully recieved and cleared before your pixels go live on the homepage.
28. After your pixels and link have been approved, you will have to pay me within 10 days. You can transfer the money to my Dutch bank account, or you can pay me with Paypal (which is much faster). I do not accept credit cards. Once you have ordered and the funds have cleared, I will upload your pixels as soon as possible, probably within one or two days.
